Living in the southeast has its benefits especially when you want to travel. With so many places within driving distance from Atlanta, you can experience everything from the beaches to the stunning Smoky Mountains. And it should come as no surprise to you that my heart belongs in the Great Smoky Mountains! My family loves vacationing there several times a year. It is just one of those places that keeps calling us back and The Resort at Governor’s Crossing is no exception! This family friendly lodging is minutes away from all the fun Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg has to offer!
Vacationers want to get the most bang for their buck, and as someone that has frequented the area and stayed in many family friendly resorts, I know I have found a hidden jewel tucked away in Sevierville. With so much to see and experience in the area, staying close to the action is important. The Resort at Governor’s Crossing is perfect for the whole family. With a fresh remodeling, they offer a ton of great amenities. Plus, its location is just minutes away from all the attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. From the moment that you enter the front doors, it’s evident that their employees care. The resort is clean, bright, and well-taken care of. The staff truly wants your experience to be all that you expect and more and this can be seen in the extra mile that they take to ensure your stay is a memorable one.
The Resort at Governor’s Crossing has recently undergone some updates and renovations, and if the truth be told, they have done an amazing job. The overall outside appearance is warm and inviting with its color scheme, and it does not stop there. With accommodations ranging from studios to 3-bedroom condo units, all the rooms feature a more modern feel. Each room is equipped with full kitchens, whirlpool tubs, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. They also offer rooms with separate living and dining rooms, washer/dryers and private balconies. Some even have gas fireplaces.
With so much to see and do in the area, it’s always nice to just sit back and relax at your resort. The Resort at Governor’s Crossing amenities sure doesn’t disappoint either! With a year round climate controlled indoor water park and seasonal outdoor water park boasting 5 pools, 2 Jacuzzis, high speed waterslides, sauna, and a 250 foot lazy river, this is a great place to escape the summer heat or warm up in the cold winter months. Plus a 9-hole mini-golf course, game room and pirate-ship-themed playground will keep the kids entertained for hours! In addition, throughout the summer they offer 3 family friendly poolside movies each week. While we were there, we enjoyed Monsters University as we floated along the lazy river!
