Smurfs Return to the Big Screen

There are so many things that make me remember my childhood.  As a child of the 80s, I was apart of a generation that had so many wonderful things.  One of those things was those beloved little blue creatures that lived in a tiny village.  I recall many days watching Papa Smurf helping his clan of Smurfs to learn life’s valuable  lessons.  As many iconic 80s stars and shows return to the entertainment world, I knew it would not be long before my beloved Smurfs would return as well.  And boy did they do so in a big way. They returned by making their way to the big screen!  With two movies already hitting the big screen, Smurfs and Smurfs 2, the Smurfs are now they are set to make their 3rd appearance on the big screen with Smurfs: The Lost Village.

In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does.  Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!

Smurfs was before my time as a child, but they were part of my sister's age group. I'm not sure if I'd see this in theaters.

I have such a fond memory of my kids being small and the smurfs. The only thing my son wanted for Christmas one year was a smurf. I traveled out of state to get him one. My kis are grown now but I have grand kids. Because of my fond memories, of course, I'm going to watch this movie with my grand kids.
