Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker

2019 will be the last time you can experience the Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. In 2020, the Atlanta Ballet will move its production to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.

The Nutcracker will be at the Fox Theatre from December 7, 2019 through December 24, 2019.

Garden Lights, Holiday Nights

November 16, 2019 – January 11, 2020

Garden Lights, Holiday Nights returns in 2019 with new features and crowd favorites – including new music and motion for Atlanta’s favorite holiday spectacle, Nature’s Wonders.

Experience the Skylights Lounge in the Skyline Garden. Plus, several larger-than-life plant giants from Imaginary Worlds: Alice’s Wonderland awash in holiday glow.

The Battery Atlanta

The Battery Atlanta invites families to capture the holiday spirit with free Santa Photos at SunTrust onUp Experience. Santa and his elves return to Cobb County’s hottest entertainment destination on Thursday, Nov. 21 and will set-up shop every Thursday through Sunday in November and December. Families can take home FREE digital and print copies as a holiday keepsake. The Battery Atlanta will host theme nights, including Santa Paws, during which guests and their pets can take free, “paw-fect” photos with Santa; Santa Who Speaks Spanish, when families can meet with, share wish lists and capture complementary photos with Spanish-Speaking Santa; and Sensitive Santa, which allows children with special needs a reservation-only, low-sensory session with minimal light and noise.

Tis the season for Holiday Bricktacular at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta, all December (Dec. 1 – 31) long! Kids are invited to escape the chilly weather for brick-filled, festive fun! The annual holiday tradition features special activities, including a build-and-take home LEGO® snowflake instructed by Playmakers, daily meet and greets with LEGO® Santa and a winter wonderland takeover in MINILAND!

Breakfast with Santa

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta invites families to build traditions with Breakfast with Santa on select Saturdays in November and December. From 9-10 a.m., parents can score a spot for the little ones at the newest holiday event, featuring a hot breakfast from the café, a build-and-take home LEGO® snowflake and admission to the attraction. Children are invited to share their wish lists and pose for an unforgettable photo-opp during their meet-and-greet with LEGO Santa. LEGO-lovers can take home an 8-inch by 6-inch print copy and digital downloads as a holiday keepsake from their personal visits with LEGO Santa. Tickets are $45 per guest.

Oakland Cemetery

Gather a group of family and friends for a day of cemetery sleuthing on this self-guided scavenger hunt throughout historic Oakland Cemetery!  Purchase your Harvest Hunt packet (one per team) from Saturday, November 23 through Sunday, December 1 at the Visitors Center & Museum Shop (open weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and weekends 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and follow all-new cryptic clues to solve riddles. No reservations are required to participate. Please Note: Oakland’s Visitor Center & Museum Shop will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 28).

Choose from three different packets, organized by degree of cemetery riddle difficulty:

Easy: Kid-friendly riddles and perfect for families (expected hunt time: 1 hour)
Medium: Challenging, but not impossible, riddles (Expected hunt time: 1.5-2 hours)
Deadly: Try it if you dare (Expected hunt time: 2-3 hours)
The Harvest Hunt packet ($20) includes one self-guided tour map (a $5 value) that can be used on return visits.
