How to Throw a Disney Themed Play-date

Looking for a magical vacation for your preschooler? You might think I am crazy when I say take them to Disney World, but now more than ever is the perfect time to visit Walt Disney World with your preschool-aged children. From the Lion King ‘Hakuna Matata’ Time Dance Party at Animal Kingdom to the Move It-Shake It-Dance It Minnie and Mickey’s Celebration at Magic Kingdom Park, it’s never too early to introduce your child to the magic and wonder of the world of Disney.

Disney Themed Food
Food is always an important staple of any party, but finding just the right ones that will satisfy can be a little tricky. Plus, if you are creatively challenged in the kitchen like me, it is helpful to have some easy ideas that take little time.
First, decide what you want to serve. Are you providing a meal for the party-goers or just wanting to keep it simple with some dessert options? Grabbing something simple to throw in the oven to bake while you prepare the other items is an easy option for any party. Michael Angelo’s is a perfect choice! Offering authentic, homemade Italian flavors right from a box, your party-goers will enjoy a no-mess, no preservatives, authentically-crafted Italian dish that they think you will have spent hours on. Whether you want meat or veggie meals, they’ve got you covered.
Creating a dessert table? Popped Passion has beautiful handmade customizable popcorn cakes that really make the perfect centerpiece for any dessert table. Our delicious popcorn cake had a fun Disney twist to it. With Oreo cookies in the shape of those iconic Mickey ears to the colorful Disney candies, this cake was a HUGE hit with our party goers including Eden. As you can see from her smile above, this is one girl who is LOVING this cake.
Popped Passion cakes are made fresh and shipped directly to you in1 to 2 business days. This is one cake people will remember and enjoy! But if you can’t order a popcorn cake (which I highly recommend), then you can easily make your own.

The Decor, Games, and Music
For many, the idea of having to be creative and set up a themed party can bring on anxiety. You want to host a party that people will remember, but it is important to realize it is not the food or decor that makes a party. It is the people and experiences that they remember.
Decorating can be as simple as using things you already have around the house-toys, sheets, clothing, dolls, etc… Simply use those as your centerpieces. Picking up party supplies featuring your child’s favorite Disney character is another easy way to decorate.
