Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center
The Contemporary exhibits contemporary works by local, regional, national, and international artists and is free every Thursday from 11 am until 8 pm. Thursday evenings often feature programming such as lectures, gallery tours, film screenings, and much more.

Atlanta History Center also offers Party with the Past once a month. Adult evening of fun learning about Atlanta’s rich history.
The museum features a display on the history of money; interactive, multimedia exhibits explaining the Federal Reserve’s role in the economy; and a view of the bank’s automated vault and cash processing areas. In addition, most group tours include a stop in the bank’s boardroom.
Every first Thursday of the month form 4 to 8 pm, free entry.
The 21-acre park is the city’s lasting legacy from the Centennial Olympic Games. Each month there are plenty of opportunities for free fun here.
- Wednesday Wind Down – Experience Wednesday Wind Down each Wednesday evening from 5:30-8 p.m., April-September, with performances varying from jazz to reggae.
- Fourth Saturday Family Fun Days – The fourth Saturday of each month, from noon-4 p.m., May – September, enjoy an afternoon of FREE family fun. This event is full of activities including educational programming, specialty workshops, performances, contests, prizes and more.
- Music at Noon – Every Tuesday and Thursday from noon-1 p.m., April-October, enjoy Music at Noon, which features a variety of live music including R&B, jazz and reggae. Make a lunch date with Music at Noon as relaxing tunes float over the city.

Tour the museum for FREE if you live, or attend school in Fulton County, or are a Gov’t employee on the First Saturday of every month.. Show proof of residency (GA Driver’s License or ID card), a student ID, or a Gov’t employee ID card to get in free.
Passport to Puppetry Library Loan Program: Check out this pass from your local library and in addition to four free museum admissions, you can attend a performance at the Center and/or participate in a Create-a-Puppet Workshop at a 25% discount, when space is available.
Self-guided tours include a history of the building and lawmaking process, the public galleries of the House of Representatives and Senate and the Georgia Capitol Museum. Monday-Friday from 8 to 5pm
Georgia’s Governor invites you to tour the mansion and learn the true meaning of Southern hospitality. Public tours are conducted throughout the year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. It is recommended that you arrive before 11:00 to allow enough time to complete the tour before the Mansion closes at 11:30 a.m.

Atlanta was the final resting place for many Civil War soldiers and you can honor their legacy without charge. There is a fee for Tours if you decide to take one.
The second Tuesday of every month admission is FREE for all visitors who come between 1:00 and 7:00pm. The free tickets are available in the museum beginning at 1:00 pm. These are first come, first served. Once the museum reaches capacity, you will have to wait until families to receive free tickets. Arriving early in recommended as they will not take reservations. Visit Zoo Atlanta for FREE once a year thanks to an exciting partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service, Georgia residents can check out the Zoo Atlanta Family Pass for free admission for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children). Check out the Zoo Atlanta Family Pass DVD at your local library. When you return the DVD to your library, you will receive a receipt. Please save this receipt; it is required for Zoo admission. The pass is valid for 7 days from the date of the receipt showing the return of the DVD. Present your Zoo Atlanta Family Pass receipt at the Zoo Atlanta front gate for admission.
