Family Friendly Vacations at SeaWorld Orlando

Family-friendly vacations are the name of my game. Vacations are all about fun and reconnecting as a family, so I want a vacation that mom, dad, and the kids can enjoy. One of my favorite family-friendly vacations to take is a trip to SeaWorld Orlando. Its unique blend of entertainment and education makes for a memorable trip for any family.

One of my favorite parts of SeaWorld Orlando is the combination of fun and education. Their shows are so entertaining, and the aquarium experience promotes a desire to learn and explore in the kids. Frankly, it does the same for my husband and me, as well. Let’s not forget rides. A trip to SeaWorld ticks all the boxes for family-friendly fun, and it’s such a joy to watch the kids get excited about the sea life all around them.

Family Friendly Vacations Should be Exciting

Regular life is dull. There’s no reason to take a dull vacation on top of that. You might as well stay home. The biggest thing SeaWorld has going for it is the excitement. Of course, they have rides, but I’m talking about the excitement of seeing all the sea life and learning all about them. It makes for a vacation that stimulates the mind on several different levels and makes memories that last a lifetime. I’ve put together a list of some of the most exciting parts of SeaWorld for me and my family, and I want to share it with you.

Animal Experiences

We’re talking about SeaWorld, so of course, animal experiences get first billing. These experiences provide a glimpse into the lives of various sea life as well as giving visitors a peek at how SeaWorld helps to rehabilitate sea creatures.

Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin Habitat

Visitors can see five different species of penguins at home in a habitat that closely mimics their own.

Dolphin Nursery

Parents and kids can enjoy watching mother dolphins and their calves as they go about their daily lives.

Manatee Rehabilitation Area

Visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at SeaWorld’s working manatee rescue and rehabilitation facility and learn about the dangers these animals face in the wild.

Shark Encounter

No SeaWorld post would be complete without mentioning their iconic underwater viewing tunnels. Visitors can walk through these tunnels, getting a close up view of various sharks and other sea life.

For thrillseekers, SeaWorld has some top-notch rides to get the blood pumping and the heart racing.

Infinity Falls

Experience world-class rapids and the world’s tallest drop on any water ride.

Mako, known as a hyper coaster is known for high speeds, deep dives, and all the screaming you can handle.

Sea Carousel

Youngsters will enjoy this classic ride. This sea-themed carousel is topped by a 45-foot wide pink octopus.

Wild Arctic

Wild Arctic is a fully immersive experience where a flight simulator takes you on a jet-helicopter ride through the icy landscapes of the Arctic.

Shows are always a big criteria for me when it comes to family-friendly vacations, and SeaWorld has some good ones. These shows feature everything from sea life to Sesame Street.

Dolphin Days

Marvel at the majestic beauty and grace of the ocean’s most playful resident, the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin.

Clyde and Seamore’s Sea Lion High

Sea Lion High is filled with hijinks, audience interaction, and one super cute sea lion.

Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween

Of course, this show is seasonal, but it’s one worth mentioning. The kids can enjoy a wonderful Halloween show featuring The Count, Elmo, Abby, and the rest of the beloved Sesame Street cast.

Aquatica Sea World

Family-friendly vacations pair perfectly with water parks, and wouldn’t you know it, SeaWorld has one. Aquatica has been voted the #1 waterpark in the country, and it’s easy to see why. A wide variety of water slides, all day dining options, and cabanas to give visitors a break from the sun make Aquatica a water park that caters to every age.

Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort where families can relax, interact with animals, and learn more about the amazing life in our oceans. Whether relaxing in a hammock is your thing, or you’re eager to go on a watery adventure, Discovery Cove has something for everyone.

SeaWorld was Made for Family Vacations

Family-friendly vacations are all about fun and excitement, in my book, and that’s what SeaWorld offers to any family. The park, rides, wildlife, and experiences all come together to make for a trip that no family will ever forget. If you’re planning a visit to Orlando, I highly recommend SeaWorld Orlando.
