Creamy Tomato Basil Bisque
There’s nothing quite like a steaming bowl of soup when you’ve got the sniffles. Once the temperature outside is cold and winter has settled in, my family’s cure for the wintertime cold is soup! Just like my mother and grandmother, my go-to for colds is always a cup of creamy tomato basil bisque. A family recipe passed down from generation to generation, this recipe warms the soul and soothes the throat.
Benefits of Soups When You’re Sick
Most of us have been told that when we’re sick, you need to increase your Vitamin C intake. But why is that? Vitamin C gives the body the energy it needs. It helps to support a healthy immune system.
And where can you find a great source of Vitamin C? If you said fruits and vegetables – you’d be correct!
Over the years the recipe has stayed the same, but the tools for making it has changed (and for the better)! With pressure cookers and immersion blenders, kitchen life has never been better. Recently we got a Mealthy HandBlend to check out, and it is now our favorite kitchen tool. In second place is the Mealthy MultiPot and you can find out all about that amazing kitchen tool here.
