Cars 3 Races Into Theaters June 16

Cars 3 Movie

Oh how my family LOVES the thrill of racing.  NASCAR is one of our favorite sporting events of all time, and we eagerly sit and watch our favorites hug the track as they travel at ridiculously high speeds.  When the first Cars movie came out back in March of 2006, we were beyond excited. Now we had a movie that we could share with our little ones so that they would get excited about racing too.   The series of movies has become one of our all time favorites, and we are thrilled that the newest movie, Cars 3, races into theaters June 16.

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! Directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2”), produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short) and co-produced by Andrea Warren (“LAVA” short).

My family had the chance to see this movie a few days ago, and we LOVED it and so did the crowd that was there.  There have not been many times when I have been in a theater and had the audience cheer and clap as loudly as they did with this film.  After a not so favorable Cars 2, Pixar has come back with Cars 3 and it is something to cheer about!

We do not want to give away what happens, but here are a few things we feel movie watchers are going to love:

Trip Down Memory Lane

All of your favorites from Cars make an appearance in this film from Mater to Doc.

Cars fans are going to love the amount of speed racing associated with this film.

This movie focuses on how others influence us and what we can learn from others.

(Girl Power) – Cruz Ramirez is going to steal your hearts!  It is a story that nearly everyone watching can relate to.

Do not ever believe that you are not good enough no matter what anyone says.

Make sure you are not late though!  You do not want to miss Pixar’s newest short, LOU, and the message it gives.   A bully that enjoys ruining others recess by stealing their toys finally meets his match and learns a valuable lesson.    This heart-warming and funny short literally ‘hits” it out of the park, and is going to be something you can talk with your kids about!

We hope that you will make plans to go to this movie this summer!  If you fell in love with Cars from the start, you are going to love this just as much if not more.  Although there is no official word that there will be more movies to come, I have a feeling you are going to leave hoping that there is.  To celebrate the upcoming release of this beloved Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3”movie, there are plenty of cool ideas to do with your kids.  Click on any of the images below to find out more.
