Avengers: Infinity War review

One of the most awaited films has hit the big screen today, and you are not going to want to miss seeing it opening weekend.  While I am not going to spoil this film for anyone, I do suggest that you get to the theaters this weekend!  This action-packed and intense movie is something that will hit social media like a wildfire.  People are going to spoil it for you if you do not go see it for yourself!

What did I think about this film?  I have already bought my tickets for the second time!  What does that say?  This film is a must-see; however, I do recommend that you know your Marvel characters and movies.  There will be so many appearances in this film that you may find it hard to keep up with.  Knowing beforehand will help make it easier.  But then again, spending hours trying to catch up on your Marvel knowledge and heading back out to the theaters to see Avengers: Infinity War a second or even third time is not such a bad idea either!  I know my son and I are already planning on doing this.

Here is what we have planned to watch:

Doctor Strange (2016)

Black Panther (2018)

The Avengers  (2012)

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

Here are a couple of my personal takeaways.

  1.  Heed the warning for PG13.  Although there is no nudity or much swearing, there is a lot of violence.  If your child is sensitive, this might not be the film for them to see.  Blood, destruction, explosions, etc…  It is all here in this movie!
  2. Be prepared to see some classic Marvel characters die!  I think this is the biggest takeaway for me.  Prior to its release, Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel, did warn Marvel fans that some characters will die in this film.    Just be aware of this before seeing the film.  I have already heard rumors of some crying as a result.  If your child is sensitive, you may need to consider this before heading out.
  3. Stay through the credits!  This is just becoming the norm now.  You will not want to miss it.
