2019 Atlanta Film Festival Family Friendly Films & Shorts

Every year one of my favorite things to do for Earth Day is to celebrate by catching Disneynature’s Earth Day movie.  For the past several years we have made this a family event, and it is usually followed by us heading to our local park to do something to give back like picking up trash, planting flowers, etc… This year to celebrate  10 remarkable years of Disneynature, “Penguins” will hit the big screen at the Plaza Theatre for a special family-friendly Marquee screening on Saturday, April 6 at 10:30AM at the Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF)!

Tickets to the “Penguins” screening are $13 for adults and $6.50 for children under 12 in advance.

About the Movie

Narrated by Ed Helms (“The Office,” “The Hangover” trilogy, “The Daily Show with John Stewart”), Disneynature’s all-new feature film “Penguins” is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he’s targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after. From the filmmaking team behind “Bears” and “Chimpanzee,” Disneynature’s “Penguins” opens in theaters and in IMAX® April 17, 2019.
